What’s New for the 2018 Chevy Tahoe?
When a car has had as much as success as the Chevy Tahoe, it’s anyone’s guess what the next year’s model will bring. One would expect Chevrolet not to change too much, but at the same time, it’s only natural to expect some level of change. That said, a lot of people have been wondering, “What’s new for the 2018 Chevy Tahoe?” Stick around; Russell Chevrolet has the answers.
2018 Chevy Tahoe RST Performance Package
While there are various changes here and there, the biggest point of discussion for the new Tahoe is its RST Performance package. Past Tahoe models only had the familiar 5.3-liter V8 engine beneath the hood, which produced 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. While this is still the standard engine option, the 2018 Chevy Tahoe RST offers an available 6.2-liter V8 engine with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
The new RST engine is able to take the Tahoe from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds. This powerful 6.2-liter engine also gives the Tahoe a towing capacity of over 8,400 pounds. Choosing the RST engine will also earn drivers a 10-speed automatic transmission, as well as available Brembo brakes and a Borla exhaust that adds 10 horsepower. There are also a variety of appearance-related perks included in the RST performance package such as unique 22-inch wheels, body-color grille surround and headlight trim, and more.
Hopefully this has helped to answer the question, “What’s new for the 2018 Chevy Tahoe?” There are plenty of Chevy Tahoe models available in the Russell Chevrolet inventory. Looking for something else? Check out the showroom!
